Love Italian Style
The modeling agency was looking for a rustic farm setting for the photo shoot and settled on the Johnson's place.  Troy Johnson watched her all day as she modeled in the beautiful Iowa sunlight.  She was beautiful and he was smitten.  He thought about her for months afterward. His heart danced when his father came into the kitchen, a year later, and said, "that modelin' agency is comin' back agin, and this time they are payin' me a thousand dollars.  Can ya just figure!"  Troy had a chance to see his dream girl again, but she was from Italy and did not speak English. He remembered seeing Rosetta Stone advertised on TV. He pulled the wooden box out from under the bed.  He had saved just enough money to order it.  He waited every day, on the porch, for it to arrive.  He could not believe how beautiful his dream girl's language was and how easy it was to learn.
When she arrived that beautiful Friday morning, he walked right up to her, and in perfect Italian he said: "Good Morning.  I have been studying Italian so I could tell you how very beautiful you are".  The Italian model was so touched and thought about it all during her work day there on the farm.  When they were done, the model looked for the boy and found him cleaning out the chicken coop.  In Italian, she said: "That is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me.  Will you join me for dinner somewhere in your beautiful town?"
They spent the evening talking and laughing. It was the start of a special and wonderful friendship.  The Italian model ordered the English version of Rosetta Stone so she could learn Troy's language.

Never Give Up
The farm boy loved being just that, but he also loved bronc riding. Rodeo riding was his escape from the farm and all it entailed.
Having said that, one wonders at what point does the supermodel show up in his life.
One day, while in town on errands for the farm, the boy happened to see a large bill board with the picture of a beautiful supermodel. He stood in awe at such a sight, and that instant he fell in love and vowed to himself that one day soon that beautiful girl was going to fall in love with him.
Well, this demanded some powerful thinking for the farm boy.Having decided what he must do, he rode out to the far off hill to capture a wild horse, not any horse, mind you but the perfect horse for what he was about to do.
Finding the perfect one took time, but eventually he saw the one he must have. The horse was perfect, tall, well muscled, coal black in color and a spirited look about him.
It took awhile to chase him down, but eventually the farm boy succeeded in roping the wild horse and bringing him back to the farm.
There, for days on end the farm boy and the wild horse learned to trust each other until the farm boy felt confident riding the horse.
The next step was to find the supermodel.
Now the supermodel, lived in Italy and was really a peasant girl from a very small village, who was also very beautiful, and therefor followed her parents advise and became a model. But her true feelings were always to stay in the small village, but because her parents were poor, this was her way of helping them live in comfort.
Back on the range with the farm boy, is still trying to find a way to impress the supermodel how much he loves her.
A thought has occur to him if he could speak to her in her own native tongue, why that would make all the difference in the world
Having figured this out the farm boy knows exactly what to do.
He calls the good people at Rosett Stone, and thy set him up with the easiest way to learn Italian.
In a very short time the farm boy is speaking Italian, and is very eager to met the supermodel of his dreams and tell her what is in his heart.
So, it is on to Italy, with his beautiful black horse to find his love.
Some how the model has gotten wind of the farm boy,( it is a fairy tale, remember) and is there waiting when the plane lands and the farm boy and his horse arrive.
She is so delighted and astounded both at what the farm boy has done, and at the wonderful Italian words that he speaks to her, that it is love a first sight.
So, the story ends or perhaps begins with a small cozy farm house, horses roaming the fields and a very happy farm boy and a delighted supermodel and two beautiful children walking hand in hand.

Bo's fate
Although Bo Klinkhammer grew up in humble conditions working on his fathers farm, he knew he had solid roots. He was the youngest and only boy in a family of 6 kids. He came from a long line of Klinkhammers who were well known throughout the county for their strong values and work ethics.
Bo also knew the value of education which was drilled into him at an early age by his parents. Bo was given a globe for his 6th birthday. He would sit and stare at it for hours at night after his chores were done. His young mind would imagine himself traveling from Italy, India, China and other far away places. He would read everything he could about the cultures in these great lands. From history to supermodels (especially the supermodels). He picked a favorite model out of each country he wished to meet someday.
As the years passed his yearning to travel was sometimes overwhelming. But in order to travel, he knew it would be foolish to think that the only language he would have to know was English. After searching the many different language training programs available, he chose RosettaStone. Now Bo not only studied geography, but could learn the languages of those countries as well. And he did just that. By knowing the languages he would have at least a shot of meeting these lovely models.
But there was a problem. Since he was the only boy, his demanding father also expected him to dedicate his life to taking over the family farm someday.
Bo struggled with his passion to travel and his fathers wishes to stay and work the family farm. He knew his father would not understand his overpowering urge to break away and see the world.
When Bo turned 18 and graduated from high school, he realized that there was no other choice. He decided to turn his dream into a reality. Against his fathers wishes, he took all of the money he had saved, packed his bags, and bought an airline ticket to his first stop, Rome. That night, he bolted out of the drive way to the main road to town. From there he hopped a bus to the big city. He was gone. The next morning his family thought he was throwing caution to the wind, but Bo knew better. He had the plan, he had the tools (RosettaStone), and he had the fever that would change his life forever.

The Long Way Around
Images for this Story
Billy thought he would work the family farm until the end of his days. However, farm life seemed to lose its glamour the first time he layed his eyes on the exotic Super Model who spoke the language of love. She was an exchange student staying with the family down the lane. Billy thought she was even more beautiful than the John Deer tractor which he road the rows of corn. His desire to impress his Italian Goddess would take him on a journey he did not expect. He decided he would learn her native tongue, but knew not where to start.
His Aunt Bertie introduced him to the Rosetta Stone system which she had used to learn French. So, he went online to www.rosettastone.com and started Italian Level 1. He was able to learn so quickly, he moved onto TOTALe Italian.
He enjoyed speaking fluently in a new language so much, he decided to learn Russian, and then he moved on to Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Latin followed.
He felt he was ready to make his move on the dreamy Super Model. But alas, she had moved on with the alfalfa farmer who lived down the street. It was for the best, for he learned that though she may have been beautiful, she had the personality of a rabid weasel.
Not to be one who looks at cups half empty, he applied for a position with his talent for language as an Interpreter with the Foreign Service.
While stationed in Russia, he met a beautiful woman who was a member of the lost Romanov Royal Family. They married and lived their lives in bliss for the rest of their days.

Farm Boy gets the girl
When the farm boy realizes that his heart throb model did not speak English, he felt he would never get to speak to her. Then one day he saw an advertisement for Rosetta Stone. He jumped out of the chair and ran to order his copy inorder to learn Italian. He knew he only had a couple of weeks before she was gone. Each night he would sit by his computer and practice. During the day, when he was tending his fields, he would practice talking to his cows. He continued to do this each day until one day, while he was walking in town, wearing his headset and listening to the next lesson, he bumped into someone. When he turned around, he happened to say good morning in Italian not even realizing that he was speaking Italian. He then realized that he had bumped into his Italian Supermodel. She was so impressed that he spoke to her in Italian, that she asked if she could have a cup of coffee with him. The rest is history. They are now going to China and they are both learning to speak Chinese so that they will be able to get around in China. This is now their fourth language, and now their children will be learning with them.

Pomodoro
John stepped off the bus onto a dusty dirt road. The sun beat down on the baked earth and he felt that the heat of the ground was enough to melt the soles of his shoes. As the dust settled, John cringed at the sight of his childhood home. Although he had worked these fields from a young age, John never felt a kinship to this land. His parents only shook their heads when John left the family farm over a year ago to study at the University. No one in the community believed that a farm boy could succeed in the big city, but John was determined to prove them wrong. John worked long hours in the big city, saving money for a class trip to Italy. He even joined the language club at the University and was studying Italian in his spare time. The trip was only two months away when John learned that both of his parents had perished in a barn fire. He was forced to leave the University and return to the farm in time to harvest the year’s crop of tomatoes.
Although he had been a farm boy all his life, no one in the community believed that John could run the farm by himself. Before he went away, they had doubted that he could succeed in the big city. Now, they laughed to see this “city-slicker” trying to start the old tractor. John toiled in the fields from sun up until sun down. The harvest was almost finished when a letter came in the mail. The letter stated that VeggieCorp had made changes to their budget and no longer intended to purchase John’s produce. That night, John tossed and turned. He had left his life in the city in order to save this crop. Now, he had a barn full of tomatoes that he could not sell. In the early hours of the morning, John finally drifted to sleep. In his dreams, John encountered a beautiful woman speaking eagerly to him in Italian. If he had only been able to continue his studies, he would have been able to understand her words.
The next day, John went into town to show his letter to the other farmers. When he entered the county store, John was surprised to see the community in an outrage. Ever farmer in the county had received the same letter. There were thousands of tomatoes and no one was willing to buy them. John spent the afternoon calling the canned food companies, but no one was buying tomatoes. That night, he again dreamt of the Italian woman. “Gianni, Gianni,” she called, speaking fervently in Italian and holding out a handful of ripe tomatoes. John woke from his troubled sleep as the sun rose on the farming community. If only he could remember his Italian lessons from months before! All day, John could not stop thinking about the woman in his dreams. He just had to know what she was trying to tell him. That evening, John ordered a subscription to Rosetta Stone TOTALe. He studied through the night and every spare moment for the next several days. When John finally went back to bed, he dreamt of the Italian woman once more. This time, the tomatoes in her hands were starting to shrivel, but her words were finally clear to him. When John awoke, he knew exactly what he must do. Although no one in the country was buying tomatoes, John now knew that there was a tomato shortage in Europe. He called VegitaleC.ia and explained in Italian that he was looking to sell some tomatoes. The executives had been struggling to find tomatoes in Europe and were happy to buy all of the tomatoes in John’s hometown. Not only did John save his farming community, but he also was given the opportunity to travel to Italy and witness the manufacturing process. At the end of his visit, the executive presented him with a jar of tomato sauce made from his tomatoes. On the label there was a picture of an Italian supermodel holding a bunch of tomatoes. John instantly recognized the woman from his dream.
After leaving the sauce factory, John decided to stop for an authentic Italian dinner. As he entered the local Ristorante, John bumped into a tall woman. It was the model from his dream! John suavely introduced himself in Italian and invited the model to join him for dinner.

La Fine (The end)
During her tour of America, he drove 40 miles to nearest big city on the day she was arriving there. He waited on the curb outside of her hotel, amidst the clamoring of the jostling crowd trying to glimpse her. When her black town car approached, she stepped out the back door onto the curb. She rose to her full height, sunglass, and sun hat covering her face, but he knew it was her. He nudged his way through the crowd and shouted "Tu sei una strella....la mia strella" (You are a star....my star). She stopped, the sound of her language cutting through the noise of the crowd, and slowly turned. She looked at him, looking at her nervously, yet hopeful. She knew he had been practicing just for her. She walked to him and said with a thick accent "Will you help me learn English as well as you speak Italian?" He smiled and said "I think I know something that will help."

Sometimes Love is Right in Front of You
The farm boy had decided what do. He bought himself a one way ticket to Italy. He still had to learn Italian and it seemed impossible, until he
had acquired Rosetta Stone. He learned it faster than any other language learning program, so maybe his luck would change. He traveled to her agency and asked if he could speak with her. They gave him five minutes and it seemed too good to be true. He was so nervous he could hardly speak. When he finally worked up the nerve to ask her on a date, she ignored him and exited the room. She was nothing like he had expected, so he left in disappointment and went home to find that the one he really loved had been there all along.
